Situated amid some of New England's most picturesque landscape, Whyworry Park
has been producing Superfine wool for more than 60 years. Established by the Carter
family in 1946, the property is just outside Uralla along the Kingstown Road.
The property is highly improved with annual fertiliser application and pastures
consisting of phlaris, rye grass, cocksfoot, fescue, white and subclover as well
as annual native grasses. The annual rainfall is approximately 850 mm and the
mean daily temperature ranges from a maximum of almost 12 degrees C in July to
a high of 26.5 degrees C in January.
Our Superfine Merino wool is prized for its quality
and enjoys a solid reputation in the Italian 19.0 micron and finer market, also
finding buyers from Korea, Japan and leading Australian manufacturers. Attend
the Annual On-Property Ram & Sheep Sale
or regular Field Days for more information.
We participate in the New England Field Days to demonstra.te our breeding objectives. We have an open day on 15th January 2016: 1:00pm |
